At all times I'm going to tell you exactly what I think about everything and if I don't know it I will also tell you. I believe honesty and integrity come before money.

I want to give away all this information and my personal pictures away for free because I think anyone can do what I am doing here and make some money. This site will make money and I will show you how you can have your own site with my pictures.

However, I am really focusing this site towards the Small Business Owners of America. The people who have a retail business and a web site. The people who just don't make enough money, get enough customers, and don't know where to begin working on their web site. I want to make it easy for them to build a solid world wide web network simply and inexpensively. I suggest you read every page of this web site and then ask me questions. I'm going to break Internet Marketing or iMarketing into 2 categories. Category 1 = Need a web site. Category 2 = No web site.

Category 1 = Need a web site = Need to know HTML.

Category 2 = No web site = No need to know HTML.

Unfortunately, if you are my target group of small business owners, Category 1, that means you need a web site and you need to know some HTML. I'm sorry but its true. We are in the digital age and we are going to need small bits and parts for setting up the tools we use to gain customers. Also, WEB 2.0 or Social Networks are perfect for small bits of HTML. You will be glad you learned and it is not nearly as hard as you think. OR you can pay someone to do the HTML parts. I suggest "1 Hour HTML" if you need to learn HMTL fast.

If you are planning on doing some affiliate marketing thats fine, and you won't need a site. My pictures will come in handy. You can get away without learning any HTML but you will soon find HTML is a great tool to have when using the internet.

Simply put, Internet marketing strategies involve driving "targeted" (people who are interested in what you have to offer) traffic to your website, blog, or sales page. That traffic then has to be converted into sales. This simple formula illustrates this process:

Traffic + Conversions = Sales

Keep this formula in your mind. As an internet marketer your goal is to generate traffic and turn those visitors into buyers. We will talk about conversion rates later.

Furthermore, there are 7 basic rules to follow when applying this formula. These rules are relevant to all forms of marketing but are especially important for online marketing where inexperienced people can "burn" a lot of money quickly and become very discouraged.

1. Marketing involves RISK - If this is your first time marketing you can probably feel the risk already. Whether you are trying something new or "copying" a strategy that has brought desirable results for others, there is still risk.

2. Always test small - Small scale testing reduces risk and gives you data to analyze. If it works, then increase the scale and create momentum.

3. Be consistent - Successful marketers do something to propel themselves forward everyday. A good practice is to create a to-do list every night.

4. Set a budget - Pre-determine what you can afford to spend on advertising on a monthly basis.

5. Diversify - Spread your efforts as much as you can over many different sources. This will also reduce your risk and help you to discover what works.

6. Learn how to write effective copy - It is essential to learn how to write headlines. The skill that will make or break you in internet marketing is copywriting.

7. Take action, test, and track - Tracking is essential because you absolutely need to know the results of your marketing efforts. Once you start getting results, you can employ simple tests to see if you can improve.

I know you are still wondering, "Where do I start?". Let me think of a good answer to that one. I guess that all depends on what you know so far. However, for all of you with a small business or affiliate marketing web site already. I would start there. Refresh your current site by doing some search engine optimization. This will be the easiest most cost effective process you can do for any small business web site that will give the most long run return. When you get traffic going to an optimized site the search engines tend to rank you even higher. Go to the HOW TO "Optimize Your Site" and start optimizing. Some simple Search Engine Optimization will go a long way. Do as many of the techniques as you can and always look for more on Google and Yahoo search.
